Argentinian pianist and composer Emilio Solla (Latin Grammy winner and multiple Grammy nominee) and Antonio Lizana, one of the most powerful and innovative voices in contemporary flamenco-jazz, come together in El Sempre Mar to explore new pathways between flamenco, tango, and Argentine folklore, all filtered through the language of jazz and improvisation.
An intense and richly nuanced project, featuring original compositions alongside reinterpretations of classics by Astor Piazzolla and Atahualpa Yupanqui. The album, recorded in 2023, was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the 2024 Spanish Music Academy Awards.
