Ernesto Aurignac Quartet - Jamboree Jazz
Ernesto Aurignac Quartet

Ernesto Aurignac alto sax, Juan Galiardo piano, Rubén Carles double bass, Roger Gutiérrez drums.

Ernesto Aurignac (Malaga, 1982) is considered one of the most outstanding alto sax players on the European and international jazz scene. With talent and astonishing expertise on his instrument, he moves deftly between the bop tradition and avant-garde jazz. With influences including Charlie Parker, Johnny Hodges and Ornette Coleman, he has built an evocative, recognisable style – vigorous and energetic playing that never fails to make an impression. Aurignac is one of the leading figures of his generation. At the Jamboree, he will present a quartet completed by some extraordinary musicians and will perform a one-off concert, full of lyricism and intensity. The repertoire: reinterpretations of standards with arrangements by Aurignac himself.
