The Félix Rossy Sextet is a group formed by versatile musicians with remarkable sensitivity; a group of friends with strong musical connections and bonds. Together, they possess a distinctive sound, with various details, clever harmonies, and intricate rhythms, along with a wide range of dynamics, improvisations, and creative and powerful melodies. As a quintet, Félix Rossy has recorded two albums: ‘Looking at the Surroundings’ (Underpool, 2020) and ‘Elena mágica’ (Underpool, 2022). This year, he is completing the third album, with the Cuban Miguel ‘Wiwi’ García on piano and the American Ben Solomon on tenor saxophone, as significant additions. At Jamboree, they will perform a repertoire of original compositions from each sextet member, as well as a selection of standards and other pieces from different authors.
