Gabriel Amargant (Argentona, 1986) is one of the best musicians of his generation. Since his extraordinary debut, 10 years ago, with “First Station” (Fresh Sound), he has signed a brilliant career together with his generation colleagues such as Marco Mezquida, or at the service of Raynald Colom and Juan Perro, among others. Amargant is also the author of such extraordinary albums as the award-winning “And Now For Something Completely Different” (FSNT, 2015) and “Aire” (FSNT, 2018), which he presented last year at the Jamboree. On this occasion, the musician from Maresmese returns to the cava of the Plaza Real to interpret the new compositions of his next CD. A trio, in the company of the magnificent Martín Leiton and Ramon Prats, the Argentine saxophonist will play pieces inspired by the work of authors such as Steinbeck, Sophocles, Faulkner, Naipul, Zweig and Lorca, from which he wants to explore the timbric possibilities of the formation.
