Gerard Chumilla sax, Joan Codina doublebass and Andreu Pitarch drums.

Born in Barcelona 24 years ago, Chumilla trained in Switzerland, in Basel, where he has been a disciple of Mark Turner, Brad Mehldau, Larry Grenadier, Ambrose Akinmusire and other celebrities. In recent times, he has dedicated himself to cementing his own sound and style, which have seduced figures of the stature of Larry Grenadier and Jorge Rossy, rhythmic section of Brad Mehldau’s trio for years. Rossy and Grenadier have agreed to collaborate on Gerard Chumila’s future first album. At the Jamboree, this time he will play as a trio with Joan Codina and Andreu Pitarch, two classmates with whom he will present for the first time the songs from his long-awaited ‘introducing’.
