Camil Arcarazo Trio - Jamboree Jazz

Camil Arcarazo solo guitar, Albert Bello rhythm guitar and, Joan Motera doublebass.

The Django L’Hospitalet Festival, the only event in these parts dedicated to manouche jazz and the figure of Django Reinhardt, arrives once again at the Jamboree, and it is done by, first of all, Camil Arcarazo, one of the musicians most talented of Catalan jazz. Not in vain, at just 10 years old he went on stage for the first time. Arcarazo grew up, from a musical point of view, with European manouche musicians, with whom he shared jam sessions and festivals around the world. Currently, he is part of the group Django Legacy, along with five young virtuosos, representatives of the new generation of jazz manouche. Music lover and restless musician, at the age of 13 he surprised everyone and everyone on the Barcelona jazz scene. Since then, he has played as a guitarist and double bassist with Albert Bover, Jean Toussaint, Toni Vaquer, Fernando Brox and other jazz figures. At the Jamboree, he will perform as a trio in the classic manouche formation, that is, with himself on lead guitar and in the company of a rhythm guitarist and a double bassist. However, beyond any stylistic label, Camil Arcarazo is a jazz musician with capital letters, versatile, with absolute mastery of improvisation, risk and, above all, surprise.
