The saxophonist and clarinettist Federico Carreras returns to the Jamboree as part of a trio, in the company of two figures from our jazz scene, to offer a repertoire of standards and his own pieces. The session repertoire includes a range of genres ranging from bebop to r ‘n’ b, including ballads and Latin jazz, but never ignoring the language of jazz. With a rather unconventional line-up – wind instruments, piano and cello – the Federico Carreras Trio is a group seeking expression, musicality, improvisation and sensitivity.
