JAMBOREE JAM with PABLO MARTÍN TRIO - Jamboree Jazz

Pablo Martín tenor sax, Héctor Tejedo double bass, Kike Pérez drums

A follower of Raül Reverter and Vicent Macián at the Taller de Músics, Pablo Martín is one of the most promising musicians on our jazz scene. Martín will open December’s first jam with a repertoire of his own tunes showing a clear influence of hard bop, contemporary jazz and even pop. That’s not surprising: his references are diverse: from the Joe Henderson trio to ECM’s Fly Trio of Mark Turner, Larry Grenadier and Jeff Ballard. At the Jamboree, Martín will make his debut in a trio, backed by two colleagues from his course at the Taller. With them, he recently took part in the Fara Music Festival in Italy, where they were finalists for the Fara Award 2019 for the Best Live Jazz Band. Martín and the others will be presenting the tunes they will include on their long-awaited first album.
