Jamboree Jam with STUART Y SU TRABUCO

Mark Aanderud piano, Ramón Ángel Rey drums, Stuart Grant bass

In the Caribbean, a trabuco is a set of music devoted to warmer rhythms of Latin music. In this case, the trabuco that will end up at the Jamboree is the one of bassist Stuart Grant, a disciple of Steve Swallow and Ron Carter. As an interpreter, Grant has played with jazz greats, such as percussionist Clifford Barbaro and saxophonist Jimmy Vas, and Latin music – Jimmy Bosch, Frankie Vazquez or Herman Olivera. The other two members of the group are two old acquaintances of the Barcelona fans: pianist Mark Aanderud, a musician with a solo career and as a sideman in different areas of jazz and other music – Tim Bern, Natalia Lafourcade, David Gilmore, etc. -, and the off-road drummer Ramón Ángel Rey -Dick Oatts, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Danilo Pardo …- Stuart and his trabuco will offer a thrilling session of jazz and Cuban and Brazilian music classics
