Kind of Trio was founded by three musical friends from Brazil, hoping to blend the rhythms of Bahia with jazz. Antony da Cruz, Joander Cruz and Jurandir Santana may have very different careers but they got together in Barcelona with a single aim: to make music together to share with everyone. Kind of Trio is the result of this celebrated encounter. Their music is based on mixing sounds and rhythms of Afro-Brazilian origin with harmonies drawn directly from jazz.
