Jaume Llombart, from Igualada, and Enrique Oliver, from Malaga, are two great jazz players with long, prolific careers. Guitarist Llombart has a clever, beautiful, unique sound which he has cultivated as a leader in various formats: from sextet to solo guitar or, as in this case, in a trio. He has also worked with Jordi Rossy, Chris Cheek, Roger Mas, Eladio Reinón, Bill McHenry and a long list of others. As for saxophonist Oliver, he is also a musician of extraordinary quality with a remarkable CV, having worked with figures of the stature of Perico Sambeat, Jordi Rossy and Albert Bover. He’s also a leader of groups such as Tenorism, with Rick Margitza, which we enjoyed at Jamboree a few months ago. This time, he joins the trio that includes his good friend Jaume Llombart to make a selection of their favourite standards.
