Sam Davies’s artistic roots are in hip-hop and dance. This is hardly surprising because, as a child, he trained as a dancer in the companies Varium Kids and GetBack. In 2015, he formed the urban music duo SamxSen with his cousin Leïti Sene, together with various other artists and producers. With SenxSen, he achieved considerable success at home and abroad, winning legions of followers in Spain. He also worked with artists such as Mishii and Enry-k, from Dammed Squad, Apache, Blessed Boy and Senyor Oca. Later, he triumphed with Fun Point, his first solo mixtape. And last year he delighted us with Cruise Control, an energetic mixtape with lyrics focusing on everyday things, the artist’s life, love, sex, excesses, and so on. It’s a cocktail that expresses the idiosyncrasies of an artist whose star is rising.
