Jeremy Dumont Quintet feat. Godwin Louis

Jeremy Dumont piano and composition · Godwin Louis sax · Jean-Paul Estievenart trumpet · Geraud Portal double bass · Harvel Nakundi drums.

The pianist Jérémy Dumont (Brussels, 1987) presents a brilliant and fruitful trajectory in his country, with different solo proposals and works as a sideman. He has also received numerous recognitions and has performed at the main clubs, series, and festivals in Belgium and France. Since 2017, he has been working with the New York saxophonist Godwin Louis. Trained at Berklee and the Thelonious Monk Institute, Godwin Louis has been a disciple of, among others, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Clark Terry, and Al Foster. He has also played with great jazz icons. In 2018, he recorded the album ‘Eretz’ (2019) with Dumont. At the Jamboree, they will play together and interpret, among other things, a series of new compositions by Dumont that confirm the Belgian musician as one of the most innovative creators in contemporary jazz. With his unique style, which includes nods to different schools, Dumont builds vibrant, festive, rhythmic music with virtuoso performances, clever arrangements, and a repertoire of original compositions and standards.
