A “musical master” and “virtuoso of the alto sax” according to Downbeat magazine, Jim Snidero touches down at the Plaça Reial club. A session man for labels including EMI and Milestone and band member for Frank Sinatra, Eddie Palmieri, Jack McDuff and the Mingus Big Band, Snidero is one of the most important jazz artists of recent times. He is also a teacher who has trained several generations of musicians. As a solo artist, Snidero has recorded about 20 albums recognised by the media as some of the most influential on the jazz scene. He even won a prestigious NEA grant, with which he enjoyed the privilege of recording with Dave Holland and Jack Dejohnette. Snidero is undoubtedly a true living legend of jazz. At the Jamboree, he will perform with an ad hoc rhythm section, including some of the great and the good of Spanish jazz.
