Joabe Reis is one of the most prominent names in the new Brazilian jazz scene. A trombonist, composer, and producer, he made his solo debut in 2020 with the album ‘Crew in Church’, recorded with collaborators of the caliber of Toninho Horta, Nelson Ayres, and Elliot Manson, a trombonist from New York and member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. In love with jazz, he also admits influences from hip-hop, neo-soul, funk, and pop. In his meteoric career, he has performed with figures as prominent as Macy Gray, with whom he had a successful tour of Brazil, Ivan Lins, Bob Mintzer, Hermeto Pascoal, and Hamilton de Holanda, among others. At Jamboree, he will perform as part of a European tour and present his new album, ‘028’ (2024), featuring musicians like Bob Mintzer and Gabriel Grossi.
