Drummer Joe Fransworth leads a line-up, Time To Swing, which represents a joyful, lively, energetic approach in the best tradition of the most traditional jazz. Known for his speed and precision as an instrumentalist, and for his melodic touch, Joe Farnsworth has recorded more than 100 albums, solo and as a sideman, and has performed at venues around the world. He has worked with the likes of Pharoah Sanders, Horace Silver, Harold Mabern, McCoy Tyner, Cedar Walton, Diana Krall, Benny Golson, Lou Donaldson, Eric Alexander and other celebrities. In Barcelona, Fransworth will have the Serbian Rale Milic – a guitarist from New York who has played with Tom Harrell and John Abercrombie, among others – alongside him, together with two big names in Spanish jazz: Abe Rábade and David Mengual. This is undoubtedly a top quartet.
