Joe Farnsworth is one of the most coveted jazz drummers on the current scene, known for his incredible speed and precision, and for a melodic musical interpretation. Among others, he has accompanied McCoy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders, Horace Silver, and Diana Krall. At the Jamboree, he will perform as part of a European tour, leading a group that includes Sarah Hanahan, a young sensation on the alto saxophone with a style inherited from the school of Jackie McLean and Pharoah Sanders. On the piano, Aaron Goldberg will play, one of the most important names in contemporary jazz, with a career that includes collaborations with Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Redman, and the Lincoln Center Orchestra, and projects such as the OAM Trio, which he co-led with Marc Miralta. Completing the lineup is the young bassist Joey Ranieri, recently touring with Emmet Cohen.
