This Christmas will Swing
Pianist Ignasi Terraza returns this holiday season with his project Around the Christmas Tree, this time with a renewed line-up that includes, alongside his regular trio, Italian guitarist and singer Joe Pisto and vocalist Maria Pascual.
Internationally acclaimed as one of Europe’s leading jazz pianists, Terraza blends technique, sensitivity and a unique swing. He is joined by Joe Pisto, a Bologna-born artist with an eclectic style, seamlessly merging voice and guitar into one instrument, moving across jazz, soul and vocal improvisation.
The quintet also features Maria Pascual, one of Spain’s most promising voices, winner of the 2023 Django Reinhardt Festival in France and selected as a lead vocalist for Jarabe de Palo’s tribute tour to Pau Donés.
Completing the line-up are Horacio Fumero on double bass and Esteve Pi on drums. Together they deliver an exclusive repertoire of international and traditional Christmas songs, reimagined through the languages of jazz, blues and gospel, along with Terraza’s own original compositions.
