Directed by Francisco Blanco “Latino”, Sedajazz, which owes its name to the Valencian town of Sedavi, is one of the most stimulating jazz projects in the national scene, an authentic launching pad for up and coming artists plus a great platform for spreading jazz culture overall. Sedajazz has nested such musicians as David Pastor and Toni Belenguer. La Jove Big band is the soul of Sedajazz, the orchestra where the younger musicians’ talents get fostered. With a wide repertoire, the JBB has performed in festivals all over Spain, recorded several albums and collaborated with artists such as singer Soledad Jiménez. Music critic Marta Ramón has explained JJB’s idiosyncrasy the following way: “daring to play like child musicians, they have created a memory that will accompany them forever so that they can listen to the image of their childhood and not lose the certainty that, when you take  good care of the seeds, you will always be surprised with everything that sprouts”.
