Above all, Leona Berlin’s music is authentic. It’s a dedication to curiosity and profundity and a refreshing change from mainstream culture. Of course, every piece of her heavenly delightful alternative soul is self-written and self-produced. Her work is an intoxicating blend of hip hop, R&B, and a wide range of contemporary influences.
Following her debut with Warner Music in 2018, Leona collaborated with iconic artists such as Snoop Dogg, Ray Angry (The Roots), and Casey Benjamin (Robert Glasper Experiment). Her second album, titled “Change” (2021), features contributions from NYC rapper Stimulus and keyboardist Rob Araujo, earning a spot on the “German Record Critics Award” best list. In 2023, she appeared on Gregory Hutchinson’s album DA BANG with several tracks, a collaboration that testifies to her incredible musical range as a singer, songwriter, and producer.
Leona’s latest release is “BRIGHTER DAY,” the fourth single in the lead-up to her highly anticipated new album, which will be released in spring 2025.
