Luiz Murakami guitar and vocals, Gustav Lundgren guitar.
Of Brazilian origin, the guitarist and singer Luiz Murakami is known for his mastery of bossa nova, a genre with which he has carved out his own style. According to the British magazine SongLines, he “sings with Gilberto Gil’s whispering style and a delicate voice.” Murakami has released eight albums, founded projects such as Miramundo, toured various countries, and collaborated with artists such as Maria Gadu, Mel Semé, and the Macaco group. He has also worked with the Swedish guitarist Gustav Lundgren, one of the greats of the gypsy jazz scene. Jazz guitar virtuoso, Lundgren made his first solo tour at age 19. From then to now he has traveled half the world, has composed hundreds of pieces and has worked, among others, with Jimmy Rosenberg, Chris Cheek, Bill McHenry and Jorge Rossy, who highlights Lundgren’s “beautiful sound, great sense of rhythm and quality of his compositions. ” We are facing a first-rate meeting between Brazilian music and jazz manouche, and also between two magnificent performers and creators.
