Marc Ayza Trio feat. Erin Corine

Marc Ayza drums · Roger Mas piano and keyboard · Tom Warburton double bass · Erin Corine voice and flute.

Marc Ayza returns to Jamboree with his musical family. His music, incisive and direct, full of lyricism and energy, draws from many sources and forms a unique style, which is why the artist refuses to be pigeonholed. With over twenty years of experience, Ayza has been a sideman for great artists such as Sheila Jordan, Steve Kuhn, Wallace Roney, Antonio Hart, and many others. He has also led projects like Marc Ayza Group, an innovative venture that contributed to creating synergies between the jazz and hip-hop scenes. In 2011, he recorded ‘Live at Home’ (Fresh Sound, 2012) at Jamboree, a album that faithfully captures the hypnotic atmosphere and the tension and release experienced with the audience. A year ago, he returned to Jamboree with a memorable concert, and this time, he brings a repertoire filled with emotion, freedom, and complicity: with the musicians and with the audience. As a committed advocate against racism, Ayza often unveils, through his work and words, certain common tendencies and imagery in the music scene. In a trio setting with the distinctive voice of Erin Corine, Marc Ayza comes home once again.
