Memi Sillah Grup was formed with the idea of finding an audience for classic Jamaican music through jazz. The quintet’s repertoire includes a series of tunes ranging from classic ska to reggae, not forgetting rocksteady and some well-known jazz standards. Memi Sillah Group uses jazz harmonies and Jamaican rhythms to create an evocative fusion of the two different kinds of music.
