Historically, the London jazz scene has always been one of the most dynamic in the world. And now it is even more lively thanks to the continuing presence of Spanish and international artists interested in searching for new sounds based on mixing the rules of jazz with styles like hip-hop, Afrobeat and electronica. The American Michael Janisch, one of the most sought-after bassists in the British capital, is a good example of the excellence of the London scene. A candidate for the MOBO awards, Janisch has also consolidated a solo career with albums like Worlds Collide , which was recorded at the Abbey Road studios. Worlds Collide includes a series of their own compositions with an exquisite rhythmic and melodic treatment and nods to artists as diverse as Ornette Coleman, Fela Kuti and Aphex Twin. It is a compendium with a unique character who will also perform on the Jamboree stage with a top-class band.
