Miguel Talavera, a guitarist and composer with extensive experience and a long artistic journey, joins organist Gerard Nieto and drummer Marc Ruiz to create a large-scale project. Influenced by the Hammond tradition and the genres associated with this organ, Miguel Talavera’s new trio makes forays into jazz, blues, rock and funk. His references range from Jimmy Smith and Jack Macduff to Booker T, John Lord and Papa John Defrancesco. At the Jamboree he will be playing his own music as well as a series of cover versions performed in his particular style. The live performance of Talavera and his group is undoubtedly explosive, evocative and energetic, full of nuances and intensity. An astonishing show, which can’t fail to make an impact.
