Néstor Giménez, from Reus, is one of the most original musicians of his generation, with a brilliant career behind him. A composer, performer and arranger with a very wide range of influences and varied work, Néstor Giménez’s music is markedly conceptual and he is often linked to avant-garde jazz. At the Jamboree he will present a new quartet, completed by some of the country’s most prominent musicians: Santi de la Rubia, one of the best saxophonists in the country; Jon Carranza, who is among the strongest emerging talents; and Joan Terol, an old acquaintance of Catalan fans, who is returning home after more than 10 years abroad.
