New Old School is a band from Sabadell that started out playing blues, soul, and funk covers.
Over time, they replaced covers with original material, embracing a strong influence from 1970s rock while staying rooted in Black music traditions. In 2024, they released their debut album, New Old School, and in early 2026 they will release their second record, New Old School II. Throughout the years, they have performed at venues and festivals such as Jamboree, Nova Jazz Cava in Terrassa, the Barcelona Blues Festival, and the Cerdanyola Blues Festival, among others.
Some members of the band have performed alongside artists such as Lou Marini (Blues Brothers), James Harman, Mike Sanchez, Marcia Ball, Sax Gordon, Hook Herrera, Dani Nelo, August Tharrats, Lluís Coloma, and Big Dani Pérez. They have also opened for acts including George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic, Koko Taylor, Lucky Peterson, Kool & The Gang, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Kenny Garrett.
In 2023, the band opened for Jethro Tull at the Porta Ferrada Festival.
