The fabulous drummer Robert Castelli, a New York musician recently established in Barcelona, has an impressive CV as a session man and leader of his own bands, both in the Big Apple and in Vienna. A professional musician since the age of 14, Castelli has worked with countless jazz, funk, pop, rock, Latin and world music bands, touring the USA and half of Europe. In Barcelona, he leads a group called Boom, which he has presented at the Jamboree. Now he returns to the Plaça Reial club with another of his line-ups, New York Nights, and with a very special guest: the pianist of Colombian origin Rafa Madagascar, one of the leading jazz figures with Latin roots in Barcelona.
