The French trombonist Paco Andreo is one of the great emerging talents in modern jazz; a musician who has received Lurcy and Fulbright fellowships, forms an integral part of the European and American scenes and has toured Europe, Asia and North and South America. Leader and co-leader of various projects, he heads a trio consisting of the double bass player Étienne Renard and no less than the drummer Jeff Ballard. At the Jamboree he will present a local version of this group with two other top-notch musicians: Martín Leiton and Andreu Pitarch. The repertoire for the session will include both pieces of his own and some by other composers. His approach treads a fine line between written composition and instant improvisation. Once again, the great and the good of the future of jazz will be live at the Plaça Reial basement club
