For almost two decades, Roger Mas has been considered one of the most renowned jazz pianists in Barcelona. A key figure in dozens of line-ups, including groups led by Jo Krause, Víctor de Diego, Carles Benavent, Giulia Valle, Alfons Bertran, Nadia Basurto, Albert Vila and Marc Ayza, Roger Mas is also responsible for remarkable solo work in various formats, with albums such as ‘Mason’ (FSNT, 2007), ‘A Time for Love’ (FSNT, 2015)), ‘The Call From the Past’ (Underpool, 2019) and ‘Segles lígats’ (FSNT, 2019). At Mas i Mas ‘23, he will present his latest album, ‘Transparent’ (Fresh Sound, 2022), on which he combines quality and energy to produce what he considers to be the most elaborate conceptual work of his career as a composer.
