Pianist Roger Mas reunites with his old travel mates Tom Warburton and Marc Ayza, a decade after working together as a trio. Back then, they recorded “Offering” (FSNT, 2008) and “Live at Home” (FSNT, 2012, live from the Jamboree), albums that stand as benchmarks when talking about that generation of visionary musicians. With “The Call from the Past” (Underpool, 2018), Roger Mas assumed leadership of the group with the goal of continuing the trip they had started years before. Mas is one of the most distinguished pianists of his generation and a prolific composer as can be seen by the ten tracks of the album he’ll be presenting this time in the Jamboree. With the special collaboration of singer Laia Cagigal, another stellar member of their generation, Roger Mas and his crew will recreate the musical spirit, mixed with multiple influences, with which they became one of the most stimulating bands during the first decade of the 21st century.
