Sant Andreu Jazz Band Saxophone Section – A Tribute to Supersax
The current saxophone section of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band features five young jazz musicians with a unique, unified sound — the result of deep listening and a profound appreciation of jazz greats. This time, they take on the exciting challenge of performing arrangements by the legendary group Supersax, known for harmonizing Charlie Parker’s solos for sax section.
This demanding repertoire calls for accuracy, sensitivity, and tight ensemble playing — qualities these young musicians exhibit with remarkable maturity. Joining them for this special performance is rising trumpet talent Martí Costalago, adding color and depth to this thrilling tribute.
