The Scone Cash Players burst on to the scene with power, bravery and a desire to champion the most tempestuous essence of funk in an organ trio format. Their glorious debut was in Los Angeles sharing the bill with Lee Feels & the Expression and the Monophonics, among others. Since then, they have toured venues and festivals in Brazil, California, Miami and New York. They have also received recognition for their releases on the lists of the best funk albums. The secret? A formula based on recreating the style of legendary Hammond players like Lonnie Smith, Jack McDuff and Jimmy Smith with their very own style. In the company of two old friends of Barcelona jazz fans, Dave Wilkinson and Caspar St. Charles, we find Adam Scone, an organist with a career that includes working with the likes of Lee Fields, Sharon Jones and Lou Donaldson.
