Chameleonic, prolific and unpredictable, the pianist and composer Sergi Sirvent, one of the best musicians of his generation, returns to the Jamboree with a clear focus on jazz. His trio, completed by two historic figures from our jazz scene – Horacio Fumero and David Xirgu, began, precisely, in the Plaça Reial club, in 2007, as a backing group for the saxophonist Charles Davis. 

With this line-up, Sirvent offers us a unique jazz repertoire very different from his facet as a composer. After recording a first live CD, Live at Jamboree, in 2015, the Sergi Sirvent Trio released a second album, Stairway to the Stars, including standards such as “It is You or No One”, “You’ve Changed” and “Secret Love”. This time, the group will be expanded with the presence of the trumpeter Benet Palet, one of the best-loved musicians here. A real luxury.
