A new talent from the French scene comes down the steps of the Jamboree: Simon Chivallon, a pianist who in Barcelona will present his first solo album, Light Blue, released on the well-known French label Jazz&People. A versatile musician, he excels both with the repertoire of Thelonious Monk and adapting pieces by the likes of the Beatles and Georges Brassens to the language of jazz. A wizard of melody, he will perform a set of his own compositions with their own character, usually in tune with the best piano jazz tradition.
