Israeli guitarist Yoav Eshed is an award-winning and renowned jazz musician who took his first steps into the world of music at the tender age of three. A precocious pianist, he dominated the repertoire of Haydn, Bach and Mendelssohn. At the age of thirteen he switched from the piano to the guitar. He won a scholarship to train in the US at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. When he finished his studies he settled in New York, a city where he has made a career as a jazz player with Ari Hoening and Dayna Stephens, among others. Eshed has played in the most prestigious clubs in the city of skyscrapers – Blue Note, Birland, Dizzy’s, Smalls, etc. – and in festivals such as Montreux, Monterrey, Athens and the Red Sea in Israel. At the Jamboree he will perform in a trio with two companions at the height of his extraordinary level.
