With Tilda Espluga and Elisabeth Raspall. Directed by: Anna Güell
Based on biographical notes on Teresa Pàmies (Balaguer, 1919-Granada, 2012), the actress Tilda Espluga and the pianist Elisabet Raspall take us for a journey with a selection of readings from Pàmies’ writings and a selection of her favourite boleros and other pieces played on the piano. Anna Güell directs this recital of words and music to offer the audience the broadminded spirit and thought of this sadly missed, brave, pioneering woman, who is essential for understanding our contemporary history. “Teresa Pàmies: Chronicles to the Rhythm of the Bolero” is a heartfelt tribute commemorating, championing and recalling the work of this great woman of Catalan letters – writer, journalist and activist – and providing some anecdotes along the way. The show, which was premiered at the Barnasants festival, comes to the Jamboree a few days before being performed in Balague
