The Big Jamboree has more than three decades of history, with a style that straddles the most emblematic African-American sounds of the mid-20th century: the swing of the thirties, the rhythm & blues of the 1940s and the rock ‘n’ roll of the fifties. With Louis Jordan, Louis Prima and Big Joe Turner as its great references, the Big Jamboree play a repertoire combining their own tunes with cover versions of the artists mentioned and others, always maintaining energy, drive, historical accuracy and own personality. That’s hardly surprising: the Big Jamboree are a live band offering the kind of show it’s hard to find in the 21st century.
