The Sparkles is a Barcelona-based band with an extensive musical trajectory. The group consists of three female vocalists and four seasoned musicians from Barcelona’s music scene. Their project brings back the spirit of female groups and solo artists from the 1950s and 1960s.
Inspired by groups like The Crystals, The Ronettes, The Marvelettes, Martha & The Vandellas, The Shirelles, and solo artists such as Lesley Gore, The Sparkles pay tribute to the classic Brill Building sound, home to legendary songwriters like Carole King and Neil Sedaka.
The result is a vibrant show that stays true to the original sound, filled with respect and admiration for the genre.
With three albums released, The Sparkles have performed at national and international festivals, always receiving an enthusiastic response from both audiences and critics.
