7pm BORRELL & GIMENO, Lluís Borrell and David Gimeno have been sharing the stage for more than 8 years as rhythm section mates in a multitude of projects around the musical scene in our country. On this occasion they present a duo proposal where, accompanied by electronic elements and sequences, they will perform original compositions by the two musicians for the first time on a stage
8pm DG Group, is a musical proposal by Catalan drummer David Gimeno, resident in Amsterdam. This is a project that presents original compositions of instrumental music in quintet format. Stylistically, the music could fit into the category of jazz fusion, with influences from funk and RnB music. However, it does not stray far from jazz, as improvisation, both individual and collective, plays a very important role at all times. Some of the inspirations and musical references for this project are RH Factor, Kneebody and Butcher Brown.
21h Nougat, is an electronic jazz-funk trio formed by Pau Jorba, Ferran Rico and Artur Ponsà, and was born in 2018 at the Cromatic music awareness center, directed by Libert Fortuny
The main objective of the project is to experiment with creativity and one’s own
expression through their collective compositions. Present this one
repertoire with an electronic format of own production, with Ableton Live as a
central pillar of the proposal.
In addition, these compositions have been produced by Llibert Fortuny and
recently, for Michael League (Snarky Puppy).
10pm The Playground, from the bowels of Jamboree Jam and BCN People is born the new Jamboree proposal for Wednesday afternoons in Room 3: The Playground, a space where collectives of musicians and artists from Barcelona organize a long session from live music with different groups, guest artists, stars from here and there and where there is also space for recreation and play in this fundamental part of the session that we call the Playground.
