Toni Solà is one of the most important saxophonists on our jazz scene. Characterized by his eclecticism, he moves through the different styles of black music, showing off a very personal and very powerful sound inspired by great tenor saxophonites such as Gene Ammons, Illinois Jacket, dexter Gordon and Sonny Rollins.

Apart from his work as a TV musician with Andreu Buenafuente, with whom he has worked in more than 1,300 programs from 1995 to 2012, as well as his professional career as a session musician in recording studios, Toni Solà has developed a fruitful career in the world of jazz that has led him to work with internationally renowned musicians such as Scott Hamilton, Gene “Mightyflea” Conners, Bobby Durham, Rob Bargad, Grant Stewart, Charmin Michelle, Harry Allen, Jesper Thilo , Jesse Davis, Ronald Baker, Michele Hendricks, Tony Lakatos, Toony Middleton, Valery Ponomarev, Champian Fulton, Pee Wee Ellis, Marc Fosset, Dany Doriz, Pierre Boussaguet, Darryl Hall and Jean Pierre Derouard among others. With six albums like as a leader, one of his compositions “Night Sounds Blues” appears in an important scene from the film “From Paris with love” starring John Travolta in 2010. He has participated in countless jazz festivals throughout Europe and on some occasions in Africa.He won the Enderrock Award to the best jazz record in 2007 and 2015.

Toni Solà presents a journey through the warmest part of jazz with influences from blues, swing, hard bop, boogaloo, funk and bossa nova, creating music with great energy and at the same time, elegance and accessibility. .
