Born on the island of Guadeloupe, Tricia Evy is one of the most brilliant, original singers of the new wave of vocal jazz performers. Evy developed her passion for singing at a very young age, when she discovered artists like Kassav and Georges Brassens. In 2006 she settled in France and, without reneging on her roots, she decided to sing jazz after listening to Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and other great stars. Over the years, Tricia Evy has earned the respect and admiration of even the most critical jazz fans. Today, she is one of the most sought-after voices – a singer who has performed at festivals like Montreux, Marciac and Vienne and Davenport (Tasmania). She has also recorded albums like Meet Me (2013) with leading figures in French jazz. In Barcelona, she will perform with a trio chosen from the pick of our jazz scene. Together, they will offer a repertoire full of original compositions, standards and pieces in the Caribbean tradition.
