A musical portrait of Joan Miró is the sound representation of Joan Miró’s work through the lens of Xavi Castillo. The double bassist dives into the world of Joan Miró and reflects, in this project, what the artist’s work represents to him. To achieve this, he employs an unusual formation: a string quartet combined with a jazz trio.
Jazz and classical music are the genres where the double bassist feels most at ease, and through this formation, he aims to express himself fully. We will enjoy a concert where jazz serves as the guiding thread, seamlessly connecting elements of classical music to reveal the musician’s personal vision of Joan Miró.
