SUMMARY:GMS LIVE V
DESCRIPTION:GMS Live is a live music series created by GMS Studios in Barcelona\, conceived as a meeting point for artists and musicians who have collaborated with the studio and are part of the GMS community. \nEach edition brings together different projects and seeks to create space for alternative proposals that do not always find a place within the city’s regular programming. Featuring local and international artists and sounds that are still underrepresented in Barcelona\, GMS Live aims to foster exchange\, community and diversity within the city’s music scene. \nFor its fifth edition\, GMS Live presents a night of Latin urban music\, experimental pop\, glitch pop\, neoperreo and club culture. \nThe warm-up will be provided by Momi Taai\, followed by SALIVA\, with Berta Garrido closing the night. \nMomi Taai \nMommytaai is a DJ and producer of Equatoguinean and Spanish heritage. Based in Barcelona\, she creates her own musical language through the African diaspora\, club culture and electronic experimentation\, connecting Africa\, the Caribbean and Spain. Her artistic universe explores identity\, diaspora and cultural hybridity through music\, fashion and visual art. \nSALIVA \nSALIVA will make their live debut at GMS Live V. An Ecuadorian trio based in Barcelona\, born from migration\, perreo and the party culture they grew up with. \nBlending neoperreo\, reggaeton\, electronic music and Latin urban music\, they create a performative and satirical show centered around the body\, dance and movement. \nBerta Garrido \nBerta Garrido is a singer\, songwriter\, producer and writer from Barcelona. Her work explores a personal and experimental take on pop\, moving between pop\, indie\, hyperpop\, K-pop and J-pop. \nA versatile universe where songwriting meets contemporary sounds and aesthetics.
