SUMMARY:João Barreto Trio
DESCRIPTION:This autumn\, João Barreto Trio will embark on their first European tour. The tour will begin in October with the release of their debut album\, Travessia\, and will include some of the most renowned venues in Portugal\, Spain\, Bulgaria\, Finland… \nJoão Barreto Trio brings a unique lyrical language through a fusion of classical music\, European jazz\, and improvised music\, with a strong connection to Portuguese folk identity through organic\, song-like forms. The trio draws major inspiration from Mário Laginha\, Bernardo Sassetti\, Esbjörn Svensson\, Keith Jarrett\, and Brad Mehldau\, while always remaining true to their own style. \nFor this concert\, the programme will mainly feature compositions by pianist and bandleader João Barreto\, alongside arrangements of Portuguese folk songs\, creating a constant dialogue between the three musicians. \nAn unforgettable concert for audiences of all ages and tastes.
