SUMMARY:Ben Sidran
DESCRIPTION:Ben Sidran piano & vocals · Leo Sidran drums & vocals · Tom Warburton double bass · Bill McHenry saxo \nPianist\, organist\, singer\, composer\, lyricist\, former touring companion of Steve Miller and collaborator with artists such as Eric Clapton\, Charlie Watts and the Rolling Stones; a living legend of popular music of our time. His name: Ben Sidran\, a musician who has worked across jazz\, blues and rock\, both as a session musician and as a record producer for Van Morrison\, Georgie Fame and Ricky Lee Jones\, among others. \nAs a solo artist\, he has also enjoyed a brilliant career\, with more than 50 years of experience and 35 albums that have left their mark on several generations of music lovers. \nSidran first performed at Jamboree in 1999\, more than 25 years ago; a quarter of a century of returning to the basement of Plaça Reial and giving audiences memorable nights. \n“There are artists whose existence already justifies a deep learning of Shakespeare’s language: Dylan\, of course\, with the Nobel Prize behind him\, but also Ray Davies\, Stuart Murdoch\, Donald Fagen\, Joni Mitchell\, Morrissey and many others. This list should also include\, without a doubt\, the pianist\, singer\, composer\, producer\, writer and music critic Ben Sidran\, an admirable and surprising man.” \nWords by journalist Fernando Neira in the highly recommended series Un disco al día\, which we wholeheartedly endorse from beginning to end.
