NEW BOTTLES, OLD WINE<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his latest album, Joan Monn\u00e9<\/strong> offers a collection of older compositions, recorded in previous projects such as his own trio, the Nou Nonet, or the group with Carme Canela<\/strong>, performed by a new quartet formation without drums.<\/p>\n

For this occasion, he is joined by Rai Ferrer<\/strong> on double bass, with whom he had already shared multiple ensembles years earlier, Santi de la Rubia<\/strong> on saxophone, who had been part of his nonet, and Joan Mar<\/strong> Sauqu\u00e9 on trumpet, with whom he has collaborated in projects like Irene Reig<\/strong>\u2019s The Bop Collective<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is a formation where the experience of Monn\u00e9<\/strong> and Ferrer<\/strong> meets the youth of Sauqu\u00e9<\/strong> and de la Rubia<\/strong>, serving music that highlights lyricism and a perhaps old-fashioned approach, yet always in search of
