Altertango <\/strong>presents their eighth studio album: La saga dels marges<\/em><\/p>\n

The group Altertango<\/strong> presents its eighth studio album, La saga dels marges<\/em>, recorded at Sol de Sants studios during two intense sessions in mid-February 2026.<\/p>\n

The album brings together 12 compositions organized into three chapters that reflect the group\u2019s artistic identity and its dialogue with the present.<\/p>\n

The first chapter, the ADN Suite<\/em>, consists of four pieces created in collaboration with renowned musicians and key figures of contemporary tango such as Julio Coviello<\/strong> and Pablo Gignoli<\/strong> (bandoneons), Edgardo Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> (guitar and artistic production support), and singer Alejandro Guyot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The suite develops the idea that the identity of 21st-century tango is nourished above all by the very musicians and music that shape this generation. The instrumental triptych \u201cAdenina,\u201d \u201cGuanina,\u201d and \u201cTimina,\u201d together with the vocal piece \u201cNo hay margen para la fe,\u201d explore endings and new beginnings within a dystopian context, capturing the group\u2019s creative zeitgeist.<\/p>\n

The second chapter is dedicated to Catalonia, where the members of the group currently live. It includes works inspired by Catalan language and culture such as Milonga de la ginesta<\/em>, performed by Magal\u00ed Sare<\/strong>, the instrumental pieces \u201cSomni\u201d and \u201cXiuxiuejar,\u201d and \u201cPassi\u00f3 estranya,\u201d inspired by a book by Marina Garc\u00e9s<\/strong> and performed by Josefina Rozenwasser Mar\u00edn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The third chapter gathers compositions by the different members of the group: Franco Niella<\/strong> with Olalla<\/strong> on \u201cClaustrof\u00f2bia,\u201d Ezequiel Acosta<\/strong> with Olalla<\/strong> on \u201cGran\u00eds,\u201d Josefina Rozenwasser Mar\u00edn<\/strong> on \u201cLos que volvieron de la sombra,\u201d and another composition by Ezequiel Acosta<\/strong>, \u201cL\u00ednia roja.\u201d As a bonus track, the album includes a work by Diego Vainer, a leading figure in Argentine experimental electronics and a close collaborator of the group since its beginnings.<\/p>\n

The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Ra\u00fal Cuevas<\/strong>. Artwork by Borja Lo<\/strong>, photographs by Magui Pichinini<\/strong>, and video by Lula Breton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
