Rooted in Texas funk, Alabama gospel, New Orleans jazz, and Nashville soul, Philip Lassiter<\/strong> is one of the most in-demand arrangers and trumpeters in contemporary music. An 11-time Grammy Award winner, his sound blends rhythmic muscle, harmonic sophistication, and a deep understanding of African American tradition brought into the present.<\/p>\n

His career is marked by a key milestone: he was section leader and arranger for Prince & The New Power Generation<\/strong>, an experience that shaped his musical ethics and vision.
