TRILOG is where flamenco, jazz and Hindustani music meet in a spontaneous and vibrant conversation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Formed by flautist and bansuri player Lara Wong<\/strong>, guitarist Mel\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong> and tabla percussionist Chaitanya Natu<\/strong>, the trio traces the nomadic path of flamenco from India to the Mediterranean, building cultural bridges through improvisation and tradition.<\/p>\n

The group was founded in Spain in 2025, when three artists from Canada, Spain and India came together driven by a shared fascination for the intertwined roots of flamenco and Indian music. Lara Wong<\/strong> is a pioneer in introducing the Indian bamboo flute (bansuri) into flamenco and was awarded Best Flamenco Instrumentalist at the prestigious Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas<\/span><\/span>. Mel\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, one of Spain\u2019s leading flamenco guitarists, toured with Anoushka Shankar<\/span><\/span><\/strong> in her project Traveller<\/em>. The circle is completed by Chaitanya Natu<\/strong>, an Indian percussionist who moved to Spain driven by his curiosity for flamenco while studying at Berklee College of Music Valencia<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Born from the established flamenco duo Mel\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez & Lara Wong<\/strong>, TRILOG<\/strong> expands this dialogue by incorporating the Indian tabla into its musical language. With a solid international trajectory, Mel\u00f3n<\/strong> and Lara<\/strong> have performed over 100 concerts across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, and their album Confluencias<\/em> (2024) received a nomination at the Juno Awards<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Although TRILOG<\/strong> is their most recent trio project, it has already begun to make its mark, performing at festivals such as Festival Internacional JAZZMADRID<\/span><\/span>, JazzOn Festival<\/span><\/span> and Festival des Andalousies Atlantiques<\/span><\/span> (Morocco).
